PEARL Project

The PEARL project aims to develop, test and validate an innovative and high-quality educational model for the development of an emotional, empathetic and proximal learning educational environment for the 1 to 6 year olds that can be transferred to the European level. The model to be developed will lay solid scientific and theoretical foundations in the development of the child, through the use of robotics and new technologies, and educational strategies for the development of prosocial skills.

Among the objectives of this project, which started in September 2018 and will end in August 2021;

Establishing an international network of experts and organizations in close cooperation with academia, teacher education institutions and training institutions to promote innovative and quality education in early childhood.

Creation of a new curriculum for teachers to develop the skills necessary to adopt an experimental model of education in early childhood Creation of a regulation (White book) on educational approaches and models tested in the 1-6 age group, designed for public institutions and decision makers at national and European level It includes the creation of a new curriculum for teachers to develop the skills necessary to adopt an experimental model of education in early childhood.

In order to implement and test the education model, kindergartens and nurseries in the experimental and control groups in Italy, Turkey, Lithuania and Spain were determined. The model is for children aged 0-6, determined as the experimental group in Italy and Lithuania; It will be applied to children in the 3-6 age group determined as the experimental group in Turkey and Spain. Children in the experimental group will be selected from the volunteer partners of the project.

Our practice kindergartens affiliated with our center take part in the project as volunteer partners in Turkey.

Accordingly, a group of our practice kindergarten teachers went to Spain in November 2019 to receive training on the project.
